What do the Event statuses mean?

Overview

The event statuses are a way to keep track of the lifecycle of an event within the system. This helps in managing your events and where they are at within the lifecycle.

You can use the event status however you like, but as described below, this is how we use the Event Statuses.

The Lifecycle

New -> Pending -> Confirmed -> Completed

Status: New

All events start out in the “New” status. When an event is new, this means that no contract has been signed or invoice has been paid. These events are in the “negotiation” phase.

Status: Pending

When an event is in the “pending” status a date, time and fee has been negotiated. This is an indication that a contract and/or invoice has been sent (or needs to be sent).

Status: Confirmed

After a contract has been signed, the retainer has been taken or the invoice has been paid the event moves to “confirmed”. However you decide an event has been locked into place, this is the status to use.

Status: Completed

Once an event has been completed, the event moves to completed status.
When an event moves to this status, it will no longer show up in the “event list”. In order to see past, completed events you can use the Status Filter found on the event list.

Status: Archived

If an event cancels or for some reason you would like it off your calendar but wish to save all the details, you may archive it. This will remove it from the list and calendar views. In order to see archived events you can use the Status Filter found on the event list.
